ROTHERFIELD - WEALDEN DISTRICT COUNCILLOR

HUW MERRIMAN WAS THE WEALDEN DISTRICT COUNCILLOR FOR ROTHERFIELD IN 2006

Huw Merriman does not answer correspondence, despite his special duty to his constituents

HUW MERRIMAN - As a District Councillor and later, Chairman of the Conservative Association, it is alleged that Huw would have know of the scandal surrounding Wealden's planning officers and Sussex police lack of investigation of crimes reported to them in 1997, via a Petition.

BT MONOPOLY - TRANSPORT COMMITTEE - CONSERVATIVE ASSOCIATION - WEALDEN COUNCILLOR

Huw Merriman is the local member for Bexhill, Battle and Herstmonceux (known locally as Shit Creek because of the proposed ground and surface water debacle surrounding a proposed 70 house development feeding onto the A271).

We are not the only ones a little concerned at the standards and morals of Huw Merriman. He has refused to meet with a Wealden Action Group member to talk about corruption within the council and collusion with Sussex police.

You may draw your own deductions from that stance, but consider that when someone is seeking to report irregularity to someone in a position of trust, in this case with legal knowledge, that it is Huw's duty to investigate for the benefit of his constituents, and of course the common law duty to refer crime to the appropriate authorities.

Why then would any honest and decent Member of Parliament, not want to find out about crimes in Wealden, when on other matters he is only too keen to push for reforms, such as with knife crime?

You may come to the conclusion, that in accepting information that he knows to be true in his heart, and as a former Wealden District Councillor for Rotherfield in 2006, you may conclude that he was exposed to the corruption, discrimination and other illegal goings on, via contact with planning officers and executives and other members and former councillors who belonged to Conservative Party Associations. Such that he would become party to the offence and on record as such, if he failed to investigate the crimes being reported.

There may even be some Masonic influence, and we look forward to receiving denials, which will of course be published in the interests of fair and balanced reporting.

Although Huw is not a police officer, he cannot simply look the other way when he hears about crimes within his remit. Such as Herstmonceux, where it is alleged that Wealden conducted one of their longest running vendettas, working with Sussex police, still unresolved. But there is no statute of limitations on such crimes, that constitute a conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

This was the position of other Conservative MPs, such as Sir Geoffrey Johnson-Smith (1983-2001) and his successor, Charles Hendry (2001-2015), now the domain of Nus Ghani.

DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS - We pay our taxes but get no value for all our hard earned pounds. Don't forget that our income is taxed along with just about everything we buy. Even buying a house is subject to stamp duty and dying also costs money with death duties. Shit! How are they getting away with bleeding the electorate dry like this and not even providing roads without potholes.

You can all go and fuck yourselves - blanket reply - I'll do what I like and you can't do anything about it. So there.

SHORT CUT STONEWALLING - An MP owes a special duty to residents in their geographical region. A failure en-masse, such as this blanket dismissal of complaints, means that this Conservative Member of Parliament is failing to do his job and represent the people, by not properly considering matters put to him. There is no transparency or answerability, leaving an MP operating like this free to do what he likes. This is hardly conducive to establishing trust with the electorate, in line with the position of power that the MP enjoys - so bringing the Parliamentary system into disrepute. Many constituents do not have access to the internet and don't have email addresses. They write to him, posting their letters using Royal Mail. Anyone doing so, should be able to expect a reply in writing. We wonder if it was this kind of short cut that in-part, caused the demise of Lehman Brothers.
